Christmas Eve Cocoa

This year I made something special for my family to enjoy while sipping cocoa as the nights before Christmas wind down! We enjoyed these last night after my family got back from the Mannheim Steamroller concert and I will be bringing them with me to our big family gathering this evening too!

These are really quick and simple to make and they are the perfect holiday addition to any quality cup of cocoa! Just put a marshmallow on the end of a candy cane, dip the marshmallow into melted chocolate, and then dip into crush candy canes...

You can use it to stir your hot chocolate, making it extra chocolatey and adding some peppermint flavor! It doesn't get much better than that! (You can also just eat it as is... which I must confess I am guilty of... haha)

Bonus, my other favorite hot chocolate recipe... Heat and mix the following ingredients:
  • 2 cups milk
  • 5 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 yields 2 cups

Enjoy your cocoa, your Christmas, and your family tonight! I know I will! It is without question my absolute favorite night of the year... :)

Wishing you a lovely little Christmas!
