I have never been big on resolutions but I certainly do want to take the time to give back more this year, practice kindness everyday (remember my new journal?), and stop stressing about the future when I can focus on enjoying the present!
If you guys remember, I opened my Etsy shop at the end of November and started selling small paintings in attempts to raise money for the Disaster Relief fund at the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy!
I decided to start this year by making my donation with the money I raised in the month of December! Hopefully I can continue to raise money throughout the year to dedicate to different causes! Every little bit counts!
$40 may not seem like a ton of money, but it is definitely more than I would have been able to donate on my own and I am so thankful to everyone who purchased a painting to support my cause! And a special thanks to Little Tree for inspiring the whole thing! :)
