Outfit Post: Weekend in GR & Style Lately

These photos are from last weekend, I went to visit Abby in GR and she took some pictures as we wandered about! I just adore her. We met in such a random round-about friends of friends kind of way, but it just goes to show you never know where you'll find your true friends! :)

I am a sucker for a contrasting color palette. This orange skirt is so fun but sometimes in the winter I feel like it is too bright and crazy, so I felt like mixing it with the purple hues would really help tone it down slightly. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces of clothing in my closet!

I am getting a lot better at not looking so cold during these Michigan outfit pictures! Don't be fooled though, it was FREEZING!

This coming week I will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota for Spring Break exploring the city and more importantly, working on a volunteer project! I am going with a group and we will be working with ESL adults tutoring them for their big GED tests coming up! I am so darn excited! We leave tomorrow... heading to one of the few places colder thank Michigan... But I am used to it, the last two Spring Breaks I spent in Chicago and Milwaukee... Slightly surprising that I hate the cold. lol

Did you guys notice my absolutely adorable bracelet? When Style Lately contacted me I was so excited! They have so many cute things in their shop and it definitely adds some fun edge to my rather girly wardrobe! As soon as I opened the little box I was in LOVE with this bracelet. The more I wear it the more I love it! You can find this specific bracelet here but I would encourage you to look at their whole shop, and especially the bracelets! It took me a while to pick a favorite! lol

So there you have it... Even though I will be away for the week I have some pre-planned posts that you guys will see throughout the week! I am so excited for my trip but by the end of it I am sure I will be dying to write! haha
